The splicing fitting is to join kinds of bare conductors and ground wires. It bears the same electric load as conductors. Mid-span Joint Sleeve bears all the tension of conductors and ground wires. According to the tensile condition, splicing fittings include the force-bearing type and non-force-bearing type. Splicing fittings include compression type and helical type. And the compression type includes hydraulic compression, explosive compression, and compression with pliers.
Usage scenarios
Transmission line system
Technical features
- There should be a good contact surface between the splicing fitting and the conductor wire or ground wires;
- The splicing fitting should not reduce the conductivity of the wire;
- The resistance between the compression-type splicing fittings and the two ends of the wire connection should not be greater than the resistance of the same-length wire, and for the non-compression-type splicing fittings, it should not be greater than 1.1 times the resistance of the same-length wire.
Product advantages
- The hydraulic Mid-span Joint Sleeve has sufficient mechanical strength and good electrical contact performance;
- It has advantages such as uniform pressure and material saving.
